By Patsy Hamilton Phytopharm just completed the first phase of its five phase clinical research program and has reportedly found no complications; using hoodia is apparently safe for reasonably healthy individuals. While no hoodia side affects have been reported, it is not recommended for use by pregnant or nursing women. Consumer Reports does not recommend it for anyone, but not because of any reported side effects. They do not recommend its use, because clinical research has not been completed at this time. Complications using hoodia on a long term basis may arise. Hoodia gordonii was eaten by the San people of southern Africa, but it was not a preferred food item. They did not eat it often. There may be complications using hoodia gordonii combined with prescription or over-the-counter medications. This has not been studied. The safest way to use hoodia gordonii supplements is under a doctors supervision. That way if unexpected side effects arise, the doctor will be able to evaluate if they are hoodia side affects or something else. Complications using hoodia gordonii combined with other botanicals may arise. It is believed that Ephedra complications were caused by using it in combination with other stimulants, but this can not be proven without endangering human health. Many botanicals are natural stimulants and consumers should read labels carefully before buying a product. Unknown ingredients should be investigated before use. Any statements concerning the lack of known hoodia side affects applies only to 100% hoodia gordonii, not hoodia herb combinations. Unexpected side effects should be reported to ones doctor along with ingredients of hoodia herb combination used. Completion of the clinical research program by Phytopharm may provide more information, such as recommended dosages and drug interaction warnings. Sometimes, even after a new product is completely researched, new side effects show up. There could still be hoodia side affects. No one can say with complete certainty that there will not be complications using hoodia, only that none are expected. For more information about possible complications using hoodia gordonii products, visit the Hoodia Info Blog. Patsy Hamilton is an editor of the Hoodia Info Blog. Preparation is Key
By Penny Estes Interviewing for a new job, or a promotion, can be a stressful situation. However, Preparation is the KEY! When preparing for that all important interview, take time to reflect upon your career experiences; and look for at least five good examples of your accomplishments and challenges--we will call them "bragging points". Make a list of these "bragging points", and then write a short summary about each situation. Become very familiar with these situations and their details, because they will help you identify certain skill sets (i.e. creativity, leadership, motivation, negotiation, etc.) used in these situations. The purpose of this exercise is to first help you remember your accomplishments. For example, when your interviewer asks you to tell them something about one of your most recent successes--you will be prepared! Secondly, when your interviewer asks you to discuss a situation where you used leadership--there you go! If you will closely examine each of your "bragging points" you will see that each contains several skill sets. This type of preparation will take you through just about any type of interview. Regardless of the interview type (i.e. behavioral screening, group, etc.) you will be prepared with quick professional responses, and you will be able to readily identify and present your accomplishments. Good luck with the interview and remember . . . . PREPARATION IS THE KEY! Finding a Lawyer Online
By Frederick Lewis When the need for a lawyer arises, it is important to be able to find a good lawyer who is knowledgeable in the area that is required and has a good reputation. Many people would prefer to find a local lawyer whether it is a Maryland lawyer, a New York lawyer or a Kentucky lawyer. A lawyer search can be an overwhelming and often frightening task for anyone who has never needed a lawyer before. Personal, business and criminal problems can arise for almost anyone at any time. From finding a Maryland lawyer to finding a Californian lawyer, there are some different ways a person can find a lawyer that will best suit their needs. When looking for a lawyer in any state, it is necessary to determine what kind of lawyer will be needed. There are a number of different types of law that lawyers specialize in including family law, real estate law, estate law, family law, criminal law and many other types of law. Sometimes it might be difficult to begin a lawyer search when the issue doesnt clearly fall into a particular category. It is a good idea to make a few calls to see what type of attorney would handle that specific case before continuing with a lawyer search. Once the type of lawyer that is needed is clear, it is time to make a list of the lawyers that are in the area who deal with a particular matter from a local phone book. Once the list is compiled, ask friends, family and professionals if they have had any experience with a particular lawyer and if it was a favorable one. If that particular attorney is on the lawyer search list, he or she might be one of the first ones that are contacted. Next, if the local search is not going very well, there are a number of search web sites on the Internet that a person can use to find an attorney that will suit his or her needs. Sometimes individual states have their own lawyer search web sites. Maryland, for instance, has a web site available for anyone who needs the services of a Maryland lawyer. The Maryland lawyer search is much like the kind of searches available for other states. A Maryland lawyer can be found when searching by city name, county name, zip code, a particular lawyers name, by law school and by legal specialty. If all else fails, a person can find a Maryland lawyer or a lawyer in another state by contacting the Bar Association. Once a lawyer search has narrowed down choices to just a few names, it is a good idea to schedule either a phone or personal interview with the attorney. Important questions that can be posed during an interview should include how much experience a lawyer has in the particular area that is needed, how long they have been in practice, what are the fees and what do they include and how successful they feel that they could tackle any particular issue. Once these questions have been answered, it is up to each individual to assess their choices and hire the attorney they feel that will represent them the best. Antiques - Tips on How You Should Care for Them
By Allison Thompson For many antique collectors the taking care of their collection is very important to them. For some who have inherited a lovely collection of heirlooms, yet do not have any idea of how to look after them or even keeping up with the collection they already have as well as they should. By caring for these items correctly they will benefit from them in the future, as not only can they be passed on to their loved ones or they can be sold at a higher value in the future if so wished. Below it provided some tips for which you should be able to care for your antiques and collectibles. There are many sites where you should be able to obtain more detailed information on how to look after your priceless treasures. Firstly, we will look at caring for glass, porcelain or pottery antiques. Any items like these should be washed individually in a wash basin to prevent any damage (such as chipping). You should only ever wash them in warm water never hot or cold and with a gentle cleaner using a soft bristled brush. One thing you should NEVER do is put your antique glass, pottery or porcelain in a dishwasher (the extreme heat and detergent used can be extremely harmful). Also always allow each item to dry naturally and do not use a cloth on them to dry them. Next we need to consider how you should display and store your collection. If you have a home where there are young children or generally lots of visitors then make sure that your glass, pottery and porcelain collections are kept in a safe place (cabinet) well away from the main flow of traffic in the house. Do not put the collection on shelves on walls, it only takes one small vibration to occur whether some one accidentally knocks against the shelf or some one knocks against the wall the shelf is on could mean the loss of your collection. Now we will look at how to look after antique rugs and textiles. Any rugs or textiles that you have will need specialist care when either moving, storing or cleaning them. It is quite easy to cause damage (such as tearing) to occur when you move such items as the material they are made from is very delicate and so you make sure you move them slowly and carefully. If you must roll up an antique rug then ensure that the pile of the rug is facing outwards as this will prevent any damage or crushing to the item. Any antique garments that you have should at all times be hung on sturdy hangers and then covered in white cotton or rolled up using an acid free paper and then closed at either end and tied securely. You can vacuum rugs and textiles, but only use a very low setting and always take extra care when you are vacuuming any textiles as you do not want to end up the suction being strong and causing fibers to be pulled apart. If you do happen to spill anything on the rug, then put white paper towels underneath the rug and above where the spill has occurred and replace them until no more liquid comes out. Should it be required, then contact an expert who will be able to clean it correctly. Also remember to keep an eye on the rug or textile and avoid it being exposed directly to either sun or humidity. If you happened to have collected antique or collectible furniture you will need to dust it usually only a soft lint free cloth. Any wooden antique furniture that you have should be waxed usually only a quality bees wax and where at all possible avoid placing any furnishings in bright light or in to rooms which experience extreme changes in temperature or humidity as they will also cause damage. When moving antique furniture carry it out with extreme care never dragging, but always ensure that the furniture is lifted. Many people find that having a valuable collection of either antiques or collectibles is a privilege and by ensuring that they take proper care of them will not only help to increase their value but it also means that they can be passed down from generation to generation. Nice People and Employees in Your Business Makes the Difference
By Lance Winslow It has often been said that quality of products and service is the key to business success and for the most part it is indeed fact. Now then many marketing consultants say that; Nice People is the icing on the cake. In fact this is also true. You cannot train people to be nice, you have to hire nice people. You cannot increase someones pay and expect their attitude to change over night, it will not happen that easy. You see there are nice people, pleasant people and just great down to Earth People; then there are manipulators, BSers, complainers and ugly people too. Find good people and pay them what they are worth so they stay with your company. Nice people and employees in your business will make the difference. As a former franchising founder, I always found that I could not seem to re-train hostile people to be nice people, no matter how hard I tried. You have to find nice people and train them to do the job and promote them and pay them fairly. This is not to say that you can have lousy products or service, that too must be tops. Often I ask a trick question of my franchisees crews; What is more important Quality or Service? Some times they will attempt to answer with one or the other and then rationalize their answer. The true answer is both and when you throw in nice people, well that really is a slamdunk. Consider all this in 2006. "Lance Winslow" - Online Think Tank forum board. The Consistency of God in His Promises (Series 1, Lesson 1)
By Sean Mize This is lesson 1 in a series of lessons on the promises of God and what they mean to us in a contemporary world. These lessons are designed to be easily used for personal Bible Study or as a guide for group Bible Studies. Each of the lessons will include a set of discussion questions at the end of the lesson, which can be used either privately for introspection or in a group setting as provocative discussion builders. This lesson focuses on the promises of God and his unfailing, immutable steadfastness as He administers His promises. Before we can stand on His promises (or the promises of anyone), we must first trust the reputation of the promiser (the one doing the promising). You see, promises are useless if the promiser is not able to maintain his word. When one changes his promises from time to time, the promises are also less powerful (actually useless) than if we know that the terms of a promise are the same from time to time. With God, we know that we have an unchangable, all-powerful God Who has all the power in the universe to back up his every promise. Our most accurate source for information about God is the Bible, which repeatedly indicates that He has always existed, and that He created the heavens, the earth, and the entire universe. (Gen. 1:1-2:3, Job 38-39, John 1:1-5, Rev. 1:8). Wise King Solomon wrote about God, I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it (Ecc. 3:14a). One of Davids Psalms tells us: But the Lord shall endure forever (Ps. 9:7a). Another tells us: But thou, O Lord, shalt endure forever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. (Ps. 102:12). Later in the same psalm, we read: Of old thou hast laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end. (PS. 102: 25-27). Recorded in the book of Numbers, Balaam, speaking on behalf of God, says to Balak: God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: for He hath said, and shall he not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Num. 23:19). O, what a wonderful thing to know, that the God which speaks promises is a God that does not lie, does take back what He says He is going to do, and does not speak and not make it good! How many times have we been promised by someone something and they do not make it good? And here we have it, God will make it good. His Word is always good; He always does what He says He is going to do. Later in history, when the Israelites were again testing God by turning away from Him and His goodness and prosperity, Malachi the prophet records the Word of God: For I am the Lord, I change not (Mal. 3:6a). In the New Testament, after the death and resurrection of our personal Saviour, the Son of God Himself, the writer of Hebrews tells us: Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever. (Heb. 13:8). And these are but a few of the references in the Bible to Gods immutability and His constancy. When He promises something, he means to keep His promise! He never casually makes a promises or offers a blessing (or, beware, a curse) if He is not going to back up His Word with action. Once He initiates a promise or a covenant, His part of it will always hold true, regardless of what we do. Questions for discussion: What do we know about the promises of God? What does it really mean that His promises are backed up by His unchanging nature? What does it mean to you personally, that His word is always sure and steadfast? Does this change the way you see the God of the Universe, recognizing that He doesnt simply create some promises for one time and circumstance, and others for other times and circumstances, but that His nature requires that His promises are consistent throughout all time? Note: Scripture references are from the KJV. You have my permission to reprint and distribute this article as long as it is distributed in its entirety, including all links and copyright information. The Shady Side of Dating & How to Avoid the Big Trap - Dating Advice for Men
By Joshua Goh One of the most recurring mental blocks men face before they date is their eagerness to plunge into a deep, stable and unbreakable relationship. We must realize that men and women think, act and decide differently. Women thoroughly relish the long swelling waves of romancing that go up and down in their minds. They feel completely absorbed, engulfed and rejuvenated while going through the rigmarole of emotional upheavals. On the contrary, men like less drama, less of emotional splurge and more of stability, sailing in tranquility of a rock-steady relationship. What is the result of this mismatch of perspectives? You rush in and latch on to the woman of your life as if there is no tomorrow and the woman is viewing it totally differently. She visualizes pain before pleasure. Spends time thinking of what holds in future, thereby neglecting how she can hold on to the present. Exclusivity, monogamy women yearn for that but all at the pace which she sets. The course and speed of the game is decided by her. It is therefore important to appreciate that both men and women respond to different emotional clocks when it comes to developing a relationship; the sense of timing is mutually exclusive. The Big Trap is just this. You are in a hurry to grab, and eventually fall out of the race for no fault of yours. Happening mostly to men who are a One Woman Man and who date infrequently, women also are frequent victims of the Big Trap, for they also wish to become a One Man Woman and are monogamous by nature. Yet men who are cool about meeting and dating many women which I sincerely plead you to follow hardly fall into the Big Trap. Your earnest desire is to bring an end to this tempestuous affair associated with dating and stabilize the relationship none of the wildness of dating makes you happy you want to go steady with a single woman. Reasons are aplenty for such behavior from men seeking immediate but temporary monogamy. Definitely, a faulty understanding of women and wrong assumptions of their minds and beliefs is surely one of the main ones. One more reason why men want to move fast is their restlessness to delve into the unknown. They hate to be kept in the dark for too long. The eternal question: will she agree to sex, wont she agree to sex, bores and irritates the man. And with every passing day, the curiosity increases. If only such men knew the pleasures of a single man, without any holdings, free of emotional baggage they would never get so stagnated and close all doors to glorious opportunities, that lie hidden. So what happens when you are a victim of The Big Trap? You need to have a steady and stable relationship, as discussed above. As you carry on meeting women, your adrenalin rises to a peak, you get emotionally charged, yet with the lack of proper knowledge or understanding of the womans nature and expectations, you fall flat. You gradually start to lose ground. That affects your own sense of pride, self esteem. You start thinking romancing is a self-defeating exercise. This is where a vicious cycle sets in. The more you lose out on women, the more you start hating not only yourself, but women too. The Loser Boy visits you often in your thoughts and dreams. It becomes impossible for you to improve upon your attitudes and behavior because remember: failure breeds failure, exactly the way success does. The miserable feeling amongst single men, is inevitable. Or, perhaps you might date for a little while, find someone who doesnt quite enthrall you, but you settle for the second best so to speak. Over a period of time, you start to realize, much to your disappointment, that you have settled for mediocrity neither did you want this kind of woman, nor did you deserve her type. She, in turn gets more and more possessive because she is also perhaps going through the same emotional drill as you are settling for the second best. Physically may be together, but mentally, you are far, far apart. This kind of negativity overwhelms you and since the very nature of such emotional upheavals is cyclical, it gets repeated over and over again. By now you would have already developed a fixed mindset: Want to Get out of this soonest this very attitude destroys you further. The more you hate the concept of dating and meeting women, you are trying to evade the very process designed to improve your expertise in the area and bring about mental stability. It is time you thought like: So many women, so little time, as the wider and broader you make your choices, the more your chances of meeting many, many women. Unless you broaden your horizon about women and dating, falling into the Big Trap will remain inevitable. Make women an add on to your otherwise glorious life, rather than the end all and be all of it. Dont make her the reason for your existence rather a small part of your existence. To ingratiate yourself with this kind of mental outlook is first, gather information (get empowered with knowledge), second, take the right decisions (act on the knowledge) and third, bask in the glory of your well-deserved success. Change the way you thought and acted till now, and be the man of your dreams, the man you always wanted to be. How Does Phentermine Work
By Jimmy Sturo The appetite suppressant Phentermine can be used effectively only on short-term basis and must be taken as part of a regular diet and exercise program. Used properly, Phentermine can produce amazing results. A physician must be consulted as the dosage must be strictly regulated Phentermine is usually started in small doses. Short-term use is recommended to avoid side effects such as behavioral changes. Long-term use is ineffective as the pill stops working once the body develops immunity in about 6 or weeks. Behavorial changes in cases of too high a dosage may include side effects such as those usually associated with ""speed"" or ""uppers"". This makes a person erratic, and sometimes makes them feel sharper or smarter. These of course are just illusions of the chemical. Be very careful, and don't just take the doctor's word for it when you research phentermine. Because of the decreasing effects over time, you may feel tempted to self-administer an increased dosage for the same effect. This can be disastrous. Always follow the directions, and never take more than is neccesary to lose weight. Phentermine, like other amphetamines, confuses the neurotransmitters connected to the brain. As a result, the brain does not receive a hunger signal. This succeeds in reducing the appetite as the brain sends out satiation signals instead of hunger signals. The brain gets a wrong message of satiety due to the raised leptin levels. Overall results include loss of appetite, more energy expenditure and ultimately weight reduction due to decreased fat stored in the body. Phentermine Pills provides detailed information on phentermine pills, cheap phentermine pills, how does phentermine work, ordering phentermine diet pills and more. Small Business Marketing 6 Ways You Can Use Telemarketing as Part of Your Business Growth Strategy
By Keith Longmire Mention telemarketing to many small business owners and managers and you are likely to see uncertainty, doubt and confusion. Many of them confuse telemarketing with telesales. The latter is tainted by the cold-calling, pressure tactics used by some companies to sell everything from timeshare holidays to kitchens and garden furniture. The only similarity between telemarketing and telesales is that they both use the telephone as a communication medium. Here are 6 reasons why you should be using telemarketing in your small business marketing mix Appointment setting - the overriding role of marketing is to gain opportunities for your sales people. The best opportunities stem from face to face meetings. Telemarketing is proven to deliver high quality appointments with specifically targeted, pre-qualified decision makers. In preparing your appointments a good telemarketer will have had numerous contacts with your prospects' decision makers. They will have built up a rapport and set expectations so that your appointments are geared for maximum results before you get to meet the client Lead generation - telemarketing for lead generation is a less in-depth process than appointment setting. The objective is normally to contact a prospect, gauge potential level of interest and to provide you with a profiled database of leads. You may follow up the contacts yourself or you may choose to commission a telemarketer to set appointments with the best prospects. Database building and cleansing - most companies acquire extensive lists of contacts and prospects. Telemarketing is an excellent way of reviewing, updating and building your contact database. Follow up - if I had to pick one key to successful small business marketing it would have to be a comprehensive, robust follow-up process. In the normal course of business just about every one of your staff will make contacts and maybe receive enquiries about your company. In a marketing sense, every such contact is manna from heaven. Following up every contact has been shown to improve sales in company after company. Telemarketers can provide a truly professional service in contact follow-up further multiplying the benefits of following up. Customer Information most small business owners that think of telemarketing tend to think of it as a tool for accessing new customers. However, just about any marketing book you read will tell you it is between 6 and 12 times easier/cheaper/more profitable to sell to existing customers than it is to gain a new one. Telemarketing to your existing customer base is an excellent way to inform them of all your products and services. Customer reactivation - do you know why old customers have stopped buying from you? You should. Often it is simply because they have not had any contact with you for some extended period. Sometimes it is because they didn't know that you supplied the particular service they needed. So they look elsewhere. And eventually stop buying from you altogether. Telemarketing is a superb way to make contact with customers as soon as they stop being customers. Sometimes that is all that is required to bring them back into the fold. At the very least you owe it to yourself to know why your customers are leaving. It is the first stage of making sure they don't leave you at all. Six ways you can use telemarketing to boost your business. And don't let anyone persuade you it is expensive. Telemarketing is the ultimate modern cottage industry. All you need is some training, the right attitude and a telephone. You can instantly set up as a telemarketer. And if you are any good you can quickly use telemarketing to sell your own services. Not surprisingly then, there are thousands of small telemarketing businesses many of them absolutely excellent. There are, of course, others that are not so good. With that much competition you can get some outstanding telemarketing services for a very reasonable price. Your challenge is to find the ones that are right for you. Practically any small business is capable of outstanding growth. Finally, emailed postcards can be quite a bit of fun - unlike traditional postcards, you can send your friends and family animated postcards that make such greetings truly memorable. Finally, did you know that some individuals make a hobby out of collecting various postcards? Thus, blank postcards with beautiful imagery on them can make ideal gifts for birthdays, holidays and other special occasions. In fact, if you travel a lot, you can collect various postcards pertaining to the various locations you have visited and present such cards to those individuals that collect them - a gift that will be appreciated for certain. If you really want to make a large gift out of your postcard presentation, you can assemble the postcards you purchase into an album for the individual you plan to present them to. Michael Russell

Creating Wood Planters
By Joanne Jones Are you having trouble finding that perfect planter to hang beneath a window on your house? One that is the perfect size, shape and colour? A quick solution is to make your own wood planter. Wood planters are simple to make and require only a few basic materials. The materials required are:
5 pieces of wood cut to size
nails
hammer
white paint
paintbrush
heavy duty plastic
crushed rock
soil
seeds or flowers from a nursery
The first step is to build the wood planter. Go to your local hardware store where they will have scrap pieces of lumber that can be cut to the size you desire. You will need two long pieces of lumber for the length of the planter, two short pieces of lumber for the width of the planter and one long piece of lumber for the bottom of the planter. Nail the pieces of lumber together. Paint the outside of the wood planter. I recommend white paint, as it will compliment most houses and really shows off the flowers in the planter. Once the wood planter is built, it is a good idea to position it in place before it is filled with soil and flowers. The best solution is to have brackets that will hold the wood planter in place, but will still allow you to take the planter down in order to plant flowers, repaint the planter or to place the planter in storage. Brackets come in all different colours, shape and sizes. The choice is yours and will depend upon the final look that you are going for. If you prefer to not see the brackets, then choose thin brackets that are the same colour as the house. The other option is to choose ornamental brackets that add elegance and character to your planter. If you choose this option, it is important that the brackets match the decor of the outside of your house. For example, if you have a wrought iron railing than you could use wrought iron brackets that match the colour and style of the railing. Now comes the fun part filling your new wood planter! Start by lining the planter with heavy duty plastic. The plastic will keep water away from the wood. Once you have done that, fill the bottom of the planter with a layer of crushed rock. Then fill the planter with soil, leaving about three inches from the top. You are now ready to plant some seed or flowers from your local nursery. Finally, place the wood planter in front of your window, on the brackets that you installed earlier. Enjoy! The Lost Tribes Of Israel
By Matti Simonaho The Christianites (Gothic Christianity) and The Christianized people are different type of people. Christianized people of today belong in origin to one of the Original Seven Churches. The Christianites, The Goths, are those who killed, raped, burnt, stole, told lies about ( witches, pagans, of wrong faith, of wrong color etc) etc of the People of the Seven Original Churches. The Christianites - Goths - were at some point of history banned and cursed by The Kingdom of Heaven. None of the Tribes of Israel is lost - they are lost only because you are lost believing rather than knowing. By Time, the National Identity decrease and the Spiritual Identity increase. The Israel -name is only a reference for the Origin of The Seven Original Churches. The Kingdom of Heaven don't judge people by national identity, or color, or what faith they are in, or if they believe or not, or if they have read The Bible or not, or if they know Jesus or not. The only thing people are judged by, is the quality of Soul. Christianity is based on stolen symbols, copies of scriptures etc. in origin belonging to their Enemies: The People of The Seven Original Churches, of which The First (Efeson), is The Church of The Last (youngest): Isa (Jesus). ISA (Jesus) is The Head of The Church but not any church - He's The Head of His Church. Many of the Apostles today described as Christian apostles are in origin not Christian Apostles. Like many symbols and writings, the Apostles identity was "confiscated" by Christianites making people to believe Christianity and the Christianites are one of the Original Seven Churches. Modern Christians have nothing to do with Christianity; Their ancestors were Christianized at some point of history and during several generations, the knowledge was lost because of bad, Mind-Only based teaching people must accept - otherwise they were killed. The identity of The Church of ISA (Efeson : Jesus) was taken over by The Goat (Christianity) and people were forced by violence to accept the Mind-Only basis teachings of The Goat: Christianized people - The Lost Tribes. SOME FACTS:
1. ISA (Jesus) is not a believer.
2. ISA (Jesus) don't believe - He know.
3. ISA (Jesus is not a Christian : He's Head of His Own Church.
4. ISA (Jesus) is not follower of Martin Luther, or any Christianite teachings.
5. In The Bible, The are Words of The Creator. After 1700 years of teaching, why do we only know what's written in The Bible, but not the Original Words of The Creator?
6. ISA (Jesus), using Christianites own terms by history is: A Pagan, Of Wrong Faith, A Witch, An Atheist. Then you must ask yourself: " Who am I following? Who is The False Prophet misleading people?". According to ISA (Jesus), you cannot be Christian and A Follower of ISA (Jesus). According to history, no-one have learnt anything the past 1700 years - except for paying for praying. Everything Christianity is based on are stolen from the ancestors of the people who today believe rather than know. All churches are built on from our ancestors stolen land. Christianized people follow blindly a faith invented after ISA (Jesus) and The Seven Original Churches - a faith that killed their ancestors. Christianized people are follwing a fake. Sunrise - Sunset
By Julia Jones Nature, a wonderful creation of God has the power to inspire people. Have you ever seen the beauty of the sunrise? Have you ever thought what does it imply to the all the living creatures. Nature in all forms does signify something or the other. It is only we, the human who need to understand to what it is indicating. Nature is a source of education as well entertainment. It gives us immense pleasure and joy. Whenever you come across some scenic beauty you cannot stop yourself from giving a sigh of happiness. The beauty of nature overshadows your sorrows and helps you come out of it. Nature plays the role of a magician. Sunrise an ultimate creation of God is something to admire and has inspired many. Sunrise indicates a new beginning, a fresh start. It brings brightness in life and inspires people to start the day with energy and intensity. Now even if you do not take it as an inspiration, view the sight of the sunrise to enjoy its beauty. It is an awe-inspiring and spectacular sight. Often individuals out of laziness or even just like that do not take out time to watch this beautiful scene. People should make an effort to get up early morning to see how the burning ball comes out hidden from somewhere deep inside the earth. Couples should especially not miss this fantastic panorama. As couples you give company to each other and enjoy the view even more. Get up before sunrise and wear warm clothes if you are not the one who gets up early morning, carry hot coffee or tea along to the point where you could sit and take pleasure in the cinematic sunrise. It is something unique and rare that gives you a kind of pleasure with it roots deep inside you. You feel a kind of excitement from within that you never felt before. It is always good to look at such beautiful scenery as it excites as well as inspires you to begin the day afresh with new energy filled within you. Sunset too is a good way to entertain you. Go to a place where you could enjoy the sunset. If it is a sunset beach point the view is breathtaking and even the sunset in the hills is extremely beautiful. It entertains and also tells you that rest is a must after working the whole day. The beauty of sunset is splendid. You get a quiet and calm feeling during and after sunset. It seems that everything has come to a halt. That stillness is a must to sit back and realize how far you have come in life. Make it a point to go to the sunset/ sunrise point and view the scenery to understand the beauty nature. Wedding Dresses - How to Shop for your Wedding Dress
By Cori Locklin You've done the research. You're an expert on ballgown silhouettes and sweetheart necklines. Now the time has finally arrivedit's wedding dress shopping day! But like the rest of the wedding planning process, shopping for a wedding dress is slightly more complex than shopping for your basic pair of slacks. Know what to expect before you hit the stores! First, you must decide where you are going to shop; here are the most common options: Independently Owned Full Service Bridal Shops
These stores offer a full range of services for the bride and the wedding party, with designers and prices ranging from moderate to high-end. While off-the-rack is possible, these stores typically special-order wedding gowns for brides and attendants, so you should be prepared to wait a few months for your gown to arrive. You will mostly likely be able to purchase all of your bridal accessories, such as shoes, veils, undergarments and jewelry, and an in-store seamstress will consult with you on custom alterations. Couture Bridal Shops
Couture bridal shops represent a subsection of independently owned full service bridal shops. Offering the same range of services, they carry exclusive designer labels at higher-end prices. These bridal boutiques are usually found in major cities. Department Stores
Department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and JC Penny offer wedding gowns, while others such as Lord & Taylor and Hecht's only offer bridesmaid dresses. These gowns are usually bought off-the-rack; however, your wedding dress may be specially ordered from another store if your size is not in stock. Most of these stores offer in-house alterations. Discount Bridal Outlets
Discount bridal outlets offer a mix of discontinued national brands and privately labeled merchandise at reduced prices. While you will not find the same level of service found at privately owned bridal shops, you may be able to find the designer wedding dress of your dreams at an affordable price. Dresses are bought off-the-rack, so you may take the gown home the day your purchase it. Since these stores typically do not offer on-site alterations, make sure you can find a trusted seamstress. Nationwide Bridal Chain Stores
Bridal chain stores manufacture, import, and sell their own private label wedding gowns. While the style selection is more limited than in other types of stores, the prices are usually lower. Be prepared for a lower level of service and little sales assistance, but the ability to buy off the rack at a reasonable price can be a good option for short engagements. Custom Gown Designers
For a one-of-a-kind wedding gown, you can collaborate with a custom gown designer to specially create a wedding dress just for you. You can find such gown designers in most major cities. Be sure to select a designer whose vision you appreciate and trust. What to expect once you're in the shop: Make an appointment, and, if possible, try to shop during a weekday. You will receive more attentive service if your sales associate can dedicate his/her time especially for you. Consider bringing the lingerie that you will wear at the wedding. This will help you determine exactly how the wedding dress will look and feel on the big day. Bring someone with you whose opinion you respect and trust, but avoid bringing an entire brigade of "experts." Too many opinions will distract you. Many bridal boutiques will not simply allow you to browse through the selection of wedding dresses; rather they will bring gowns to you one at a time. At these boutiques, a sales associate will sit down with you to discuss your style and will bring you dresses that reflect your vision. That said, allow them to bring you many styles. While you may have an idea of what you want, you never know what looks best on your body style until you try it. Most likely, you will not try on dresses in your actual size. Stores typically carry sample sizes (8-10), and the sales associate will pin it to your body. Don't forget that you will have to be fitted - up to 3 times - before your wedding dress fits perfectly. If the store has an in-house seamstress, ask for an alterations estimate. Wedding dresses tend to run small, so be prepared to order a size that is larger than you normally wear. Go with your gut! If you need to be convinced that a wedding dress looks good on you, it's probably not "the one." If there is a specific feature you want changed, you can usually request it. Keep in mind that any design changes will increase the cost of the wedding gown. When determining the cost of your wedding dress, remember to factor in the cost for the veil, which can run up to $500 and beyond, and other accessories such as shoes, headpiece etc. Sleep on it. Most stores have a no return policy, so you need to be sure before making your final decision. Once you have found "the dress" and made your final decision, you will usually pay a 50% deposit on the dress. Afterwards - the store will take your measurements to order size - don't be tempted to order one too small in hopes of losing weight. Remember that the dress usually takes a few months to be made, so make sure you leave enough time for alterations. Unity In Christ
By Glen D. Williams Make Us One: So, the song pleads in prayer to our One True God. It's a theme that's been visited throughout my Christian experience and must have been around since the first church split, over a thousand years ago. Based on my observations as a minister since 1991, unfortunately, most of those praying for Christian unity are truly asking, "Please make those other poor heretical fools agree with me, so we can fellowship together." This article will reveal, to the surprise of many, despite the silly factions and divisions, the Christian Church is, always has been and always will be...united. Silly Factions: Some of you are already asking how the Church can be united when you see over 100 Christian denominations in the phone book and none of them talk to one another. You're right! The first church split was over the use of communion wafers with leavening in them. Some, on whether Adam had a belly-button. Then, there's the predestination debate, the tongues debate, the adornment issue, the long hair issue...seems to be no end to the subjects professing Christians will make enemies over. I've been told, at various times, by well-meaning Christians, that I'm going to Hell and leading others there because I make it too easy for people to accept Jesus, because I use the NIV Bible and because I don't make water baptism a condition of salvation. If you agree with my critics, maybe now would be a good time to stop reading this article. Of course, then, you wouldn't know how I can look at all this stuff and say that Christianity is united. The reason I can make that claim is because that's what the Bible says, at least, all reliable versions. It refers to the Church as the body (not bodies) of Christ. The Bible says we have one body and one Spirit, one hope, one faith, one baptism...one God. It says we Christians have God within us, have the mind of Christ and participate in the Divine Nature. How can God be divided? Factions don't indicate disunity in Christ, instead, they provide opportunity for us to affirm our unity in Him, just as I'm doing, here. Because of the factions, our unity in Christ is made even more clear. In fact, the factions confirm the validity of God's Word. Avoid Division: In the Word, Jesus said there would be weeds mixed in with the wheat by the devil. He said many would turn away from the faith, betray and hate each other, that the love of most would grow cold. Paul wrote that there would be false prophets that would say whatever our itching ears wanted to hear. The Bible gives us a mission to go into the World to reach the lost, but tells us to avoid divisive Christians. So, when you see factions and divisions among professing Christians, don't follow the temptation to choose a side...choose Christ. When you see professing Christians who hate and judge the lost or refuse to fellowship with other Christians who are different...avoid them...and praise God! The Word is being fulfilled. Seek Him Only: To be unified, we only need to seek Jesus Christ in our whole life and make love our aim. The Bible says whoever does not have love does not have Christ. We who are in Christ share a love that's beyond the boundaries of denomination or country or language. As Christ lived, we live to share that love with anyone who will believe. Our love is beyond time and space, because it's His love. His love cannot be divided...only multiplied. Marketing Mastery - Your Money Making Formula
By Kenneth Little You can begin to get marketing mastery. In any industry you can grab this money making formula and maximize market penetration. Developed by a marketer of 35 years experience, this formula will make sure you beat your sales targets every month. Get started using this five part formula today. "Smell" Your Product Sniff out all its features. Your top product knowledge will make you the envy of the team. Referrals come to you as the preferred sales consultant because prospects have learned by word of mouth you can tell them all there is to know about the product. "Sell" Your Product - To Yourself You need to whole-heartedly believe in your product. You need to own it first. When you have been through the try it and buy it, your clients will sense your commitment to the product. They will be more open to your marketing message. "Fell" Your Product Cut your product down to size before clients do. "Fell" it to prepare yourself to "Tell" it, in the next step. You use this part of the formula by getting informed about all product failings. Be prepared to raise them with clients. Learn objections these failings create. Help clients view them as outweighed by product benefits. "Tell" Your Market About Your Product Your key here is to tell your market and not sell them the product. Use a relaxed conversational approach with clients and they will listen to all you have to say. Use every opportunity to "tell" others of your product. Be sure to "tell" every firm prospect the steps to get the benefit of your offer. "Yell" About Your Product You need to get excited, and stay excited, about your product. Sing its praises to all. Listeners will catch your enthusiasm and give you free plugs amongst their family and friends -these are prospects you'd never see. This formula now belongs to you. You can develop your marketing mastery as soon as you choose to - "Smell" Your Product, "Sell" Yourself Your Product, "Fell" Your Product, "Tell" Your Market and, "Yell" About Your Product.

How To Plan Your Wedding Ceremony Music
By Rose Smith Not all songs are created equal. The type of wedding ceremony music that you choose will be quite different from the wedding reception music. There is also the consideration on the type of wedding you will be having - whether it is a traditional religious ceremony or a less formal occasion, such as a garden wedding or beach wedding. In this article, we are going to be looking at music choices that would fit into a more formal and religious atmosphere. What Type Of Music Is Needed For Each Segment In a traditional ceremony arrangement, low-key instrumental music is usually played and begins about a half hour before the ceremony begins. This is called the Prelude. Most times, if you don't have any real choices in songs, the organist will play the typical wedding selections that other bride's and groom's have used. If you wish to pick your own Prelude songs, a few of the more popular choices are: * Canon in D by Pachelbel
* Air From Water Music by Handel
* Ave Maria by Bach
* Greensleeves by David Chamberlain
* Waltz (from Sleeping Beauty) by Tchaikovsky
* We've Only Just Begun by The Carpenters
* Tonight I Celebrate My Love (For You) by Peabo Bryson & Roberta Flack
* Breathless by Kenny G You will then need to choose what music you would prefer for your Processional (as you walk down the aisle). Some brides will elect to have traditional instrumental music such as Canon in D, Ave Maria, and of course the tune that everyone knows: The Wedding March (Here Comes The Bride). However, more and more of today's brides are chosing tunes from popular song artists. Here is a short list of Processional songs that tend to be favorites: * Power Of Love by Celine Dion
* What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Kenny G
* Endless Love by Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross
* Grow Old With Me by Mary Chapin Carpenter
* Look At You Girl by Chris Ledoux
* From This Moment On by Shania Twain
* Because you Loved me by Celine Dion
* Only Time by Enya
* This I Swear by Nick Lachey
* Nadia's Theme by Barry De Vorzon and Perry Botkin, Jr. During the ceremony itself, there will be breaks when you will need to provide solos, hymns or instrumental music, such as when you are signing the register. Some common pieces sung by soloists are: * Wedding (There Is Love) by Stookey
* Ave Maria by Schubert
* Evergreen by Barbra Streisand
* One Hand, One Heart (West Side Story) by Bernstein and Sondheim
* Sunrise, Sunset (Fiddler on the Roof) by Harnick and Bock
* Ode to Joy by Bethoven Finally the ceremony ends and the bride and groom turn to leave to the sounds of the Recessional. Here you will want a vibrant, joyous song or instrumental to play. You may choose from classical music or the more popular pop songs of today. A few examples are: * Wedding March from a Midsummer Night's Dream by Mendelssohn
* Overture from The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart
* Bridal March by Hollins
* Ode to Joy by Beethoven
* Nothings Going To Stop Us Now by Jefferson Starship
* Beautiful Day by U2
* Walking On Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves
* Forever and Ever, Amen by Randy Travis Tips For Planning Your Music Selections Before you select any music, soloists or instrumentalists, you will need to get the answers to certain questions as follows: 1) Speak with your clergy member to find out if the religious venue you are considering provides an organist and/or choir. What other types of musicians are allowed and can he/she recommend anyone? Are other types of musicians allowed such as a harpist, flutist, guitarist, etc.? Can he/she recommend any soloists? 2) You will also need to determine if there are any restrictions on the types of songs and music played during the ceremony. In a very strict, religious church, you may be prohibited from playing any non-religious songs. 3) If the church or synagogue provides an organist or other instrumentalist, what is the fee that is charged for using them? What if you wish to use a friend or a particular organist rather than the one provided, are you allowed to substitute? 4) Determine what type of mood you want for your ceremony. Some couples want a more serious, solemn service, while other couples want a fun-filled, vibrant atmosphere. This will help you in your selection of wedding music, as well as deteriming the best soloist and musicians to hire. 5) If you have any friends or family members that are gifted musicians, you may want to consider asking them to provide the songs and music. It will provide an added personal touch to your ceremony. Be sure to thank them by presenting them with a small gift. In some cases, you may need to hire them just as you would any other professional musician, but it is usually much less expensive to do so. 6) Once you determine what music and songs you will be using, make sure all soloists and musicians have a copy of the music list along with when they are to be sung/played. If any of the songs or music are new to your performers, make sure you provide sheet music and give it to them early so they can prepare. 7) Purchase tapes and CD's of wedding music to listen to. This will help make your choices much easier. As you can see, there are quite a few details to resolve when planning out your wedding ceremony music. The above song suggestions are the ones more traditionally chosen. However, there are alway new popular songs by song artists that can also be wonderful choices for a wedding ceremony. Keep your ears open for them. Hopefully, the above guidelines should give you a good start toward picking the perfect music that will personalize your own wedding. Copyright 2006. Language Barrier
By Irina Chernoff Lets talk today about that wonderful time when your virtual for the present time bride from Russia will come into your house in the most real way and sayhmm, what will she say? Hello, John, how are you? And whats next? Next the couple thinks good of our agency: how wonderful it was when someone translated accurately all your thoughts. No language barrier! :)) It is a joke. Next the couple simply doesnt understand how to communicate further. With gestures? With the help of a dictionary? My darling, I will show you our house. This is a dining room, do you understand? It is where we eat (shows with gestures), and this is a bedroom, here we will sleep (shows). It is amusing to imagine all this, but it is not so funny to find yourself in this situation! And now imagine, what a girl feels. To feel at least a little in her boots, move yourself mentally into the jungles, into the wild tribe and imagine yourself married to one of those beautiful girls in animal skins. Imagined? I am deaf and dumb. I watch TV and dont understand a word! I look at the ad, but see only a sequence of symbols! Even a one-year old child can explain to his parents what he wants, and me an educated European girl, mother, and just sociable person cant even choose dishes in a menu! All the life experiences I have (education, culture, traditions and customs) are of no use here, everything is different!!! I go with my husband even to the gynecologist and he comes as a translator between me and the doctor. These are lines from the interview with Lena our former client, who moved to the USA three years ago. We told about her in the summer 2004. Well, do you feel in her boots now? You are deaf and dumb in this tribe, you dont know local customs, you dont have friends and relatives, only a husband who you know by correspondence and a couple of meetings. Secondly, you feel hunger for information. You dream about lying on the couch and watching TV in your native language, being calm and relaxed, but not in constant tension trying to understand what all these flashing pictures and odd sounds mean. You dream about talking to someone who speaks your mother tongue. You are tired of constant 24/7 study. You are inadequate, people either laugh at your actions or criticize. Because they turn out to be inappropriate in this society. You are close to going mad!!! Thats what those women, who marry a man from another country and dont know the language of the country, feel for the first time. But Id like to emphasize for the first time. If it continued forever, there would be no sense in international marriages. Step by step the situation is improving! Here is how one of the lucky men who married a Russian woman describes it: My wife spoke no English at all when I met her. We had our correspondence translated through an agency, and we spoke with a translator on line when we spoke on the telephone. When I visited her in the Crimea we used an Ectaco electronic speaking dictionary, which was quite effective and a lot of fun, and occasionally a live translator. She's been here three and a half years now. She speaks quite well. We bought a business for her about a year and a half ago and she has no trouble dealing with customers all day. She still has a way to go to be truly fluent, but she is relaxed about language now and completely independent. At times she is now able to explain my faults to me in great detail, in English. :-0 So, all these problems are overcome. Lena and many other women agree in opinion that the most difficult time is the first year. If you overcome it, it becomes much easier then. But are there any possible ways to ease the first year? Here is what you can do while she is still in Russia and waits for a fiance visa. 1. Pay for her English classes. She tried to take some English classes while she was still in Ukraine, but they were not very effective, - writes the same man in the forum. Dont expect that after classes she will start to speak fluent English at once. - Her task at this stage is to broaden her vocabulary and practice grammar. Itll also be very good if a teacher manages to take off her fear to speak the foreign language. - The classes should be as often as you both can afford. It will help her to prepare better to the reality she will meet in another country. Remember - 24/7? 2. After you made a decision to marry and submitted the necessary documents, your fiance should use the service of translators as less as possible. She must understand your vocabulary, get used to your way of thinking. If she meets unfamiliar words or expressions, then she can consult translators. We always support women in that in the agency and help if necessary. We explain how to translate this or that so that she could do it by herself then.
3. Phone her and talk as often as possible. Tell her the subject of your next conversation beforehand, then she can get ready to it with the tutor and hold conversation with you.
4. Probably, you will start learning Russian? When she comes to you: 1. In many countries there are special language classes for immigrants from non-English speaking countries. Here is what Lena says about them: Education there goes very slowly. No, veeeeery slowly. We repeat the same things over and over again. I would like to learn quicker. However there is one plus in such study: you get very firm knowledge and never forget it. Of course! We repeated it so many times! Such classes are free of charge it is one more plus. Anyway if she doesnt like them, she can go to any other classes. One of our girls even entered the University! Here is what one man tells about their experience: When my wife arrived here we tried both expensive private classes in small groups, and the ESOL classes at a local community college. She did not learn much at the ESOL classes at the community college. Many other people do very well at these ESOL classes, but we did not have that experience. But she learned well at the private classes. The group that provided them was called English Now. It was about $600 a month as I recall for group lessons. It took her about a year to become fluent enough to be independent out in the world. We stopped paying for lessons at that time and she just learned by living and speaking. 2. Communication with Russians. There is an opinion that it is necessary to limit the communication with Russians. Some men are afraid that a Russian wife may find another man among local Russians, others that she will be lazy to speak English and will wish to talk in Russian with her country fellows all the time. Well, what can I say? Apparently these fears are not ungrounded. The problem of jealousy can be eliminated if she communicates with Russian women who are also married to foreign men. Probably, these couples will become your family friends. As it happened to one of our clients who regularly gathers all international families in the neighborhood at their house and husbands communicate in English and their wives in Russian and all are happy! To forbid her outright the communication with Russians is unwise. Put yourself in her shoes all the time. Dont forget that she sacrificed everything to be with you! 3. It is very good if she has a child. First of all, she always has someone to talk in Russian with! :)) Secondly, it is a well-known fact that children adjust very quickly, they acquire friends and learn a new language much easier. Nataliya, our former client who lives in New York now, wrote to us: My daughter is doing very well at school here, even though her English is still far from perfection. But with each day she knows it better and better. In the shops she always talks to shop-assistants as my personal translator. :) 4. Be a patient tutor, not only a husband, but also a friend to your wife. You are the only close man for her in this country and you must become her guide and teacher. 5. Stimulate her. The main stimulus is your relations. Keep telling her how much you love her. Take care of her, defend her and never laugh at her mistakes. Then she will always know that her efforts are not lost and her learning will go much faster! Best wishes

Lipstick Tips - How to Apply Lipstick Perfectly
By Sheila Dicks The wrong color lipstick, heavy lip liner and lips that have been drawn on are common makeup mistakes that will ruin your overall look. Many women who are unsure of how to wear lipstick skip that step totally leaving makeup looking unbalanced. Perfect looking lips are attainable and begin with an ideal lip line. You can have lips that look like a makeup artist did them simply by following a few important steps. 1. When applying foundation continue over the lips to provide a base for lip liner and lipstick. 2. Keeping your mouth-closed trace a fine line around the lips with a sharp pencil. A blunt pencil will make blending more difficult. Start at the v of the top lip and move outward to lip corners by making short strokes (rest your hand on your chin for better control). After you have penciled in the top lip, begin from the middle of the bottom lip and move outward also. Follow the natural lip line. 3. To make lips look larger follow the outer edge of the natural lip line making sure not to go over the natural lip line. To make lips look smaller follow the inside of the natural lip line. 4. Lipstick will stay on longer if the whole lip is filled in with lip liner before lipstick is applied. If you decide to use this technique, be aware that darker lip liner will darken the look of your lipstick. And, if you are going for a light look use a light lip liner. 5. Now that lips are filled in, apply lipstick with a lipstick brush (using a lip brush will give you more control). When lipstick has been applied, with lips closed, lay a tissue across both lips to blot. You are ready to go, with perfect lips. Continue with touch ups during the day. If you are not used to wearing lipstick, it will probably take awhile to get used to having your lips done and not eating the lipstick. The plus to having nice lips, aside from the obvious, is you will never be plagued with dry lips again an over time they become softer. Thats certainly reason enough to take care of your lips. How to Keep Your Quilts Beautiful
By Pauline Rogers Creating a quilt requires much time and effort. Meant to be cherished and enjoyed, quilts can end up damaged by improper use, cleaning, storage and display. Whether created for every day use or as heirlooms, proper care will ensure that they last to bring the pleasure intended. Use When planning a quilt consider the intended use. What fabrics are used, the type of quilting done, etc. - are dependent on the intended use of the quilt. So decide if the quilt will be used as an everyday quilt on a bed or is it meant to be an heirloom and thus displayed but not used. Keep in mind that a quilt for a cot, child or lap quilt definitely needs to be of a fabric that is durable and washable, as it will require more frequent laundering. Cleaning Baby and lap quilts will get soiled and need to be washed often. It is important that a mild soap is used and that the quilt is rinsed well. Quilt shops carry products specially designed for quilts. "Quilt Wash" is one such product. All commercial detergents are much too harsh and will strip colour from quilt fabrics. A great product for stains, yellowing or other stubborn marks is "Restoration". Laundering a quilt may not be necessary. Many will only require having the dust removed. The best way to remove dust from a sturdy quilt is to place a nylon stocking, over the nozzle of a vacuum and then gently vacuum the quilt--preferably on both sides. Avoid surface abrasion. Airing a quilt can also remove odours and dust. There is no need to beat the quilt and keep in mind that sunlight is bad for your quilt. Dry cleaning a quilt is not recommended. It is not a gentle method as large tumble machines are used and harsh chemicals are applied, which can be quite damaging. Storage Light and moisture are a quilts worst enemies. Direct sunlight will not only fade the newest and highest quality fabric in no time at all, but it also will cause the fibers to weaken. Moisture can cause mildew to form, which can be not only difficult to remove, but impossible. Many people use cardboard boxes and plastic bags with the intention of protecting their precious quilts. Both of these gather moisture, causing stains and encouraging mildew and musty smells. They are bad choices for storage. The big plastic storage boxes are not any better, as they do not have ventilation. A closet shelf is a much better choice. Do not use open shelving as this exposes the quilt to light and you will end up with fading along the folds. The storage area should be clean, cool, dry, dark, and as free as possible from drastic changes in temperature and humidity. If you have shelf space, it is a good idea to fold the length of the quilt and roll, to eliminate creases. The next time, fold a different way before rolling. It is also essential that the quilt is clean and dust free before put it away. Stains can attract insects while dust particles actually create abrasion, causing wear. Avoid storing near an outside wall where condensation will occur particularly in winter. Be aware that smoke for cigarettes and fireplaces can seek out stored textiles leaving an ugly surprise.
One of the best places to store a quilt is on a bed. Do you have a guest room? Pile your quilts on the unused bed, in layers, and then top with a cotton sheet to block the light. No matter where you choose to store your quilts, it is important to inspect them every two to three months. Take them out to air them for a few hours and examine, front and back. It is a good idea to clean the storage area at this time before putting the quilts back. Display Both sunlight and artificial light will cause fading. Never display a quilt where direct sunlight will reach it. If you have fluorescent lighting, it is wise to cover the tubes with a UV shield. When hanging a quilt, use a method that will distribute the weight over the entire width of the quilt. Sew a four inch wide tube or sleeve of fabric along the top edge on the back of the quilt and stitch through all layers of the quilt every inch or so. Do not use nails, pins or staples to hang a quilt. These can tear through fabrics, corrode and cause staining and cause distortion of heavier quilts. Cherish your quilts and they will reward you with years of enjoyment. Pauline Rogers has travelled throughout Australia and New Zealand for over 20 years, teaching the art of patchwork and quilting. She operates an award winning shop, Country Fabrics and Quilters, in Toowoomba, Queensland as well as a successful mail order and online service. She founded Quiltfest, an annual quilting event and Margie's Quilts of Hope, a quilting challenge which raises funds for breast cancer research. The Super "Simple" Guide to Moisturizing Additives
By Renee Bombardier Enriched with Vitamin E!Loaded with Shea Butter!Drenched in Sweet Almond Oil!High Glycerin content! We've all seen the splashy advertising for bath and body products that guarantee our skin will be thankful and forever soft because of the fabulous additives they are enriched with. All the pictures of nature scenes on the bottles look very convincing. The question is whether what's inside the package can improve your skin? Yes! It absolutely can, if you know what you're buying. Glycerin: a vegetable based humectant - in plain English this means that it draws moisture out of the air and holds it. When you use a soap that is high in glycerin the moisture is sucked right out of the air and held to your skin! It is a very effective way to keep your whole body happy and soft. Shea Butter - extracted from the nuts of the Shea-Karite tree (in Africa). It has been known and used for centuries for hair and skin rejuvenation. It is fatty acid that gives Shea Butter its unique healing properties. It is particularly helpful for sun damaged skin. It helps prevent premature wrinkles, facial lines, acne, eczema, and other skin irritations. Vitamin F acts as a skin protector and rejuvenator. It soothes rough, dry or chapped skin. The less processed the better! A wonderful additive. This can be used daily! Sweet Almond Oil - It is rich in protein and penetrates the skin for effective moisturizing. It conditions, softens and smoothes skin. Also contains vitamins A and E. It is a very effective emollient. Jojoba oil or beads - it is actually a wax, not oil. It is in liquid form and is similar to human skin, so it absorbs easily. It promotes cellular healing, and skin elasticity. Great in any bath or body product! Hemp oil - is cold pressed from the seeds of the hemp plant. It contains essential fatty acids, vitamins A, D, minerals and Omega 3&6. This makes it the only oil to have these Omega acids besides fish. A wonderful addition to your skin care line. Vitamin E - is a great antioxidant for your skin and significantly helps in the reduction of scaring from wounds and has been shown to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks on the skin. Because there are a few forms of Vitamin E, it is very important to purchase vitamin E skincare products with the right form of vitamin E. You should be sure it is alpha tocopherol, or mixed tocopherols not the synthetic acetate. WARNING - be sure to check your soap labels for ingredients. If is has a harsh surfactant, detergent, or preservative it will strip your skin of all its nutrients and will make any helpful additive ineffective! Your skin will be drier than when you started. Here is my list of the top 5 most harmful ingredients to avoid: DMDM Hydantoin SLS - Sodium Lauryl Sulphate Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) Methylparabens DEA (diethanolomine) Renee Bombardier is co-owner of www.simpletreasures.ca, a home-based craft business located in Ontario, Canada. Smartphones - The OS Does Matter
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Peter_Boston]Peter Boston There is no precise definition for smartphone but one that works for everybody is a cell phone with a computer operating system. More and more road warriors are leaving their laptop and disconnected PDA behind for short trips because a smartphone can do all the same things that a PDA can and some essential things a laptop can in a smaller package. The new Moto Q is 0.45 inches thin and weighs-in at 4.1 ounces. If you are considering downsizing your personal mobile office or want to provide some input to your IT manager here is one major consideration about choosing a PDA smartphone. The popularity of smart phone operating systems has taken different paths in the USA and the rest of the industrialized world. Symbian OS, an open standard operating system for data enabled mobile phones, is the top seller with a huge 76% smart phone market share worldwide. RIM, which makes Blackberry, has only a 6% worldwide market share, but dominates the USA with 53% of the domestic smart phone market. Palm OS, which has been around since 1996, has about 1/3 of the US market. Talking about operating systems is geeky but the OS is the guts of every PDA smart phone and will, in the end, determine what you can do with your smart phone. RIM has a proprietary OS which is unbeatable for secure email but will not allow you to easily edit a Microsoft Word document. Blackberry is a first class product with one-stop business solutions. RIM has deserved brand loyalty and will continue to do well within the corporate environment. A lone wolf who works with Microsoft Office on his desktop may find himself disadvantaged if RIM OS cannot keep up with the flow of new smart phone applications from other manufacturers. Palm also has a proprietary operating system but appears to be positioning itself to survive in a Windows Mobile world as well. The new generation of Palm Treos comes with Windows Mobile. Smart phone consumers are looking for business applications beyond contact information and email. GPS tracking and GPS navigation are but two. Microsoft already has 20,000 applications for its smart phone platform, and an army of developers to keep new applications coming. Perhaps you would not make a smart phone purchase decision based solely on the operating system, but you do want to be sure that the smart phone OS will not prevent you from integrating with what is already on your desktop. Plus, categorizing smart phones by operating system instead of brand will narrow the choices and help un-complicate the decision making. These are the major brands and the primary operating system of recently introduced smartphones. Some brands may use Symbian OS on older models with ARM processors. Some models are Java enabled. A Peek at Nursing as a Career
By David Crowton We need more people to choose nursing as a career. There is a national shortage, so the career choice would guarantee future employment fresh out of school. Just last week, as I was taking care of a patient of mine, a doctor asked, "Kim, how did you decide to become a nurse?"
That question caused me to reflect over nearly 25 years, and it still causes me to wonder sometimes. You see, I was not one of those little girls that wished to be a nurse, although I really liked the head nurse on Emergency. I told her, "You know, I think nursing chose me." I went on to explain that I had changed my career path my freshman year of college. I was taking courses that I found to be interesting, along with the 'basics'. After a year of not committing to a degree plan, my dad put his foot down and he strongly encouraged me to find some direction. I remember thumbing through the college catalog and finding the degree plan for nursing. I was surprised to see that I had taken nearly every prerequisite course except for anatomy and physiology. I applied to the program, was accepted and the rest is history. Being a nurse has real advantages. Continuing education is an integral part of most professions. Nursing is no exception. This knowledge actually saved the life of one of my children! Patrick was almost 4 years old. He was enjoying a piece of Halloween candy. My husband was watching him, and he called me in when he saw that Patrick was choking. I gave those 5 abdominal thrusts as if I did it every day of my life, when in fact I had only performed it on a few mannequins over the years. That piece of candy shot out, just like in the videos that they would make us watch. Never again do I groan when the lights go down and we have to watch that same training video. Scrubs Another advantage to this profession is the uniform. What other profession allows you to wear clothes that are as comfortable as pajamas! And they are so much more colorful than that starched white from years ago. I had to wear a nursing cap with the white uniform and the white hose and shoes when I was in nursing school. Now you can tell what Holiday is around the corner based on the attire of the nursing staff. Another change for the better is that more men are entering the profession. I think that it has bettered the salaries. For fear of making sexist or offensive remarks, I will leave it at that. Continuing in my footsteps. Today, my oldest child is attending a nursing program. She will be a nurse in less than a year. I have no doubt that she will be an excellent asset to the profession. She did not decide to do this as a career until she was in college for a year. Choosing nursing as a career If you like working with people and helping them during some of the most important times of their lives, then I have no doubt you would thrive in your career as a nurse.
